OrangeBoard now lets every person on your team choose how the app looks, without changing anyone else's screen. The first new theme is Ant Design v5, built from Ant's official token package, alongside our default, OB HighVis.

What's new

Theme picker in the user menu. Theme is a dropdown, with Mode (light, dark, or match system) right beside it.

My Profile > Appearance. Set Theme, Mode, Text size, Density and Motion, with a live preview and a one-click Reset to OB HighVis.

Per-user and saved server-side. Your choice follows you to every machine you sign in from. Nobody else's screen changes.

Keyboard friendly. Cmd-K includes theme commands, and the header Text size button stays in sync.

Ant Design, light and dark

Ant light re-skins the core workspace: Console, Queue, tickets, Clients, CRM, Projects, Quotes, Contracts, Billing, Approvals, Catalog, Invoices and Settings. Ant dark is clean, with no leftover OrangeBoard orange.

Comfort and familiarity. Teams that live in Ant-based tools get a look they already know.

Accessibility stays first. Contrast checks pass under both themes in every mode and text size, and the large-text toggle works on top of every theme.

No surprises. OB HighVis stays everyone's default, and switching back is pixel-identical to the original look.

Your brand is protected. Customer-facing emails, PDFs and quotes keep Standard Computer orange no matter which theme a user picks.

Material 3 is next, followed by Carbon, Primer and Fluent 2, one at a time.

After months of development, StandardPSA 1.0 ships all six core modules together for the first time: projects, time, billing, CRM, resource planning, and financial reporting.

Here is what changed from the beta and what you should do first after upgrading:

Projects, time, billing, CRM, resource planning, and financial reporting now run on a single integrated data model — no more syncing between modules.

Every billable activity (time entries, expenses, milestones, retainer draws) flows into one billing record per client.

Industry profiles ship preset billing types and report templates for helpdesk teams, MSPs, IT consulting firms, and marketing firms.

After upgrading: review your billing model settings per engagement, re-run your utilization report baselines, and check the new approval workflow defaults for time entries.

We rebuilt the billing module from the ground up. The old interface required 11 clicks to generate an invoice. The new one takes 3.

A walkthrough of what changed and why we made each decision:

Billing runs now pull all approved time and expenses for a period automatically — no manual line-item selection.

Review screen shows every line item with inline discount and write-off controls before anything is finalized.

One-step generation produces PDF invoices for every client in the run at once.

Screenshots and the full before/after comparison will be published alongside the next release.

How one team used StandardPSA's AI training files to build an AI agent that runs their monthly billing cycle without manual intervention.

What worked, what needed tweaking, and the approach they used:

Module schema files taught the agent what fields exist on billing records, their types, and allowed values.

Workflow process maps gave the agent the step-by-step monthly billing procedure: lock the period, review WIP, generate invoices, send to clients, record payments.

The API reference for AI agents provided example requests and response shapes for each step.
